It takes the freshest shrimp and crabs to make the best seafood gumbo.Made with Louisiana shrimp and crabmeat that comes fresh from the Gulf of Mexico, our seafood gumbo recipe begins with a rich, dark roux. Then we add the "Cajun trinity" of fresh seasonings (onion, bell pepper and celery) as well as special Cajun seasonings and spices. Finally comes the fresh shrimp and crabmeat, and it's all simmered slowly to create an authentic seafood gumbo that will have your mouth watering. All you have to do is thaw and heat - then serve our seafood gumbo over fluffy steamed rice for a bowl of hot Louisiana goodness. Every day is "gumbo weather" to us.Each autumn, people in south Louisiana eagerly await what is affectionately known as "gumbo weather."
