These ceramic, pastel bowls feature designs from Louisiana's famed folk artist Clementine Hunter (1897 - 1988). Hunter lived her entire life along the banks of the Cane River on Melrose Plantation. After 50 years of living on Melrose Plantation she, one day, picked up a tube of discarded paint and began to record her life on canvas. She is best known for painting plantation scenes in child-like imagery while her work is highly revered as accurate historic views of Southern life and culture that contributed mightily to American history. The bowls are great for gumbo, cereal or fresh fruit. Dishwasher safe, 6" diameter each, bowls sold separately.
